She is the author of Healthcare, Insurance and You: The Savvy Consumer’s Guide – a consumer health care book that explains the impact of the Affordable Care Act and offers practical advice for navigating the health care system and paying for care.
Lisa is called upon to provide expert commentary on the Affordable Care Act and other issues affecting health care consumers for television and radio, as well as print media, including USA Today, Yahoo Finance, among others. She is also frequently asked to speak publicly about how consumers are being impacted by and are helping to shape today’s healthcare marketplace.
Lisa’s health care expertise comes from experience. She spent more than a decade in the insurance industry working with one of the largest managed care organizations in the country. There, she spent several years developing benefits plans for Fortune 500 companies and state governments, and oversaw all provider network operations for the company’s largest market.
